About the House

Moinho do Caia is the name of the restored historic farmhouse and watermill that sits above the bank of the Rio Caia. The property is surrounded by fruit bearing olive trees with both the edible and oil producing varieties. Panoramic views look across a fish filled river to the small village of Arronches - named as one of "The Most Beautiful Towns and Villages of Portugal". It is located near the border of Spain and a two hour drive from Lisbon. Arronches is a choice location for touring many megalithic sites, the Serra Mamede Natural Park and winery's throughout Europe.
